Privacy Policy

Feynly ("we", "us") is an AI-powered study app for Android. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your choices — including how to delete your account.

What we collect

  • Account data: email address and authentication identifiers (via Supabase Auth).
  • Study content: notes, uploaded documents/images/PDFs, extracted text, generated flashcards, mind maps, and related study metadata you create in the app.
  • Usage & diagnostics: app interactions, feature usage, crash reports, and performance data — only if you consent (see Analytics below).
  • Subscription data: purchase and entitlement status via Google Play and RevenueCat (we do not store full payment card numbers).
  • Device tokens: push notification tokens if you opt in to reminders.

Why we use it

  • Provide core study features (generation, review, teach-back, planner).
  • Enforce quotas, entitlements, and account security.
  • Improve reliability and product experience (with consent).
  • Process subscriptions and comply with legal obligations.

AI processing

Study content you submit may be sent to OpenRouter, which routes requests to underlying model providers (including Western and non-Western hosts such as Groq for speech-to-text). Generated material may be inaccurate — see the in-app AI disclaimer. We do not sell your study content.

Retention

  • Extracted text is kept while your account exists.
  • Original uploaded files are deleted after extraction by default. Pro users who opt in may retain originals in Cloudflare R2 until account deletion.
  • Analytics data retention follows PostHog and Firebase Crashlytics policies.

Account & data deletion

You may delete your account:

Deletion permanently removes your app_user profile, all owned study data, device tokens, and any retained R2 originals.

Analytics & crash reporting

PostHog (product analytics, session replay, feature flags) and Firebase Crashlytics (crashes/ANRs) run only after you consent. Users in the EU/EEA/UK/CH see a first-run consent prompt; all users can toggle analytics in Settings. A Remote Config kill-switch can disable analytics remotely.

Subprocessors

See our Subprocessor list for every third party that processes data on our behalf.
