Subprocessors
Feynly uses the following subprocessors to operate the service. Data residency varies by provider; student study content sent for AI processing may transit through OpenRouter to underlying model hosts (including non-Western providers when configured).
| Subprocessor | Purpose | Data processed | Location (typical) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Postgres database, authentication, RLS | Account, study data, quotas | Configurable (EU/US) |
| Cloudflare R2 | Object storage (Pro opt-in originals) | Uploaded files | Cloudflare edge |
| OpenRouter | AI gateway (generation, grading, teach-back, STT) | Prompts, extracted text, audio clips (STT discarded immediately) | US; routes to model providers globally |
| Groq (via OpenRouter) | Cloud speech-to-text (Whisper) | Audio during transcription only | US |
| Google Gemini / other model hosts (via OpenRouter) | LLM inference | Prompts and extracted text | Per model routing |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management | Purchase tokens, entitlement state | US |
| Google Play | Billing & distribution | Payment method (Google), purchase history | Per user region |
| Firebase / Google | Crashlytics, Remote Config, FCM push | Crash logs, config flags, device push tokens | Google infrastructure |
| PostHog Cloud | Analytics, funnels, session replay, feature flags | Usage events (consent-gated) | EU or US cloud (project setting) |
| GlitchTip | Backend error reporting | API error payloads, request context | Your hosting region |
| Fly.io | API + worker hosting (custom domain api.feynly.app) | Request logs in transit | Fly region you choose |
We prefer Western-hosted model routing for student data where available. See the Privacy Policy athttps://feynly.app/privacy.
